You go get a job

In season 1, all players will be able to choose a profession, either Engineer or War Leader. To do so, when the countdown to season 1 starts, you will build the profession hall and pick you profession. Your chosen profession comes with a seperate leveling system and skill system which you will unlock as your level increases. In Season 1, there is a fixed level cap of level 40.

TIP: While EXP is capped at level 40, a portion of experience gathered above level 40 will carry over to the next season when the level cap increases!

The Engineer

This profession focuses around research and construction. It provides several benefits through:
- Decreasing construction or research timers
- Resource cost reduction for upgrades/research
- Improving the efficiency of resource production
- A few defensive capabilities to support your base

TIP: The engineer is the goto profession for people who are not yet HQ30 with T10 as it will allow them to speedup their base and power progression rapidly to achieve HQ30 and T10 troops.

The War Leader

As the name suggest, the war leader is all about combat and it does so incredibly well through various skills that:
- Increase unit stats and morale
- Accelerate unit production and even an instant training skill
- Several buffs to attacks and their stats

TIP: The War Leader will come in very handy, not only for PVP combat, but also for Strongholds, Cities and Capitol as it also brings buffs to it's surroundings.

How do you gain experience?

There are several methods to acquire profession experience, we rank them from highest to lowest income:

  1. Upgrading seasonal buildings
  2. Attacking strongholds
Defeating corruptors will grant you profession experience, roughly 500 exp per unit with a cap of 25 units per battle

  3. Attacking cities
Roughly 470 EXP per 1000 durability points taken of a city.

  4. Attacking stronghold defenses
Roughly 800 EXP per defender killed.

  5. Eliminating world map zombies and cursed elites
The higher the level of the mob/elite, the higher the EXP you gain from killing them.

  6. Weather
Sunny weather increases your exp gain directly, while Rainbow weather passively grants you profession exp. Read more about the weather here.

  7. Season Pass
  8. Profession EXP Packs
Both the season pass and profession exp packs can be bought to further increase your profession experience.

When you level up, you can assign a point to a dedicated skill tree to gain benefits matching your chosen profession. You will always have to choose between a selection of skills for each level.

And the same for the warleader skills.

General skills

Besides your professions specific skills, you can also get general skills. These unlock at the start of the season and reset at the end of the season. An overview

Looking to switch your profession or skills?

You can change from profession through a special token, the Profession Change Certificate. This token can be acquired from the Season Store or the Season Battle Pass. If you want to change the skills taken within your current profession, you can acquire a Season Reset Book, which can also be obtained through the Season Battle Pass.

Unsure which profession to take?

For most people, the choice is easy. If you are not HQ30 and have T10 troops, then you will want to choose the engineer profession. Engineer gives a great boost to your development and research to catch up with players who already are at HQ30 with T10 troops.
